These days, I say, in these days of the year, we are all running and all a bit 'thoughtful. Christmas is so. Whether we like it or not, we are all involved (with rare exceptions) in the system "gift thing" and what enormous stress.
And what is best for this, and what they will like that, I would like something special, I would surprise you, I would like to make happy, and so on.
Why not donate a work of art instead? A unique and precious object, which knows no wear nor fears of growing old. That will be preserved and handed down, the casual observer or loved deeply? In this delicate
time, precarious and consumerism, in which the object is made to be used and thrown away, try to think of something designed to "last forever" could help the mind and, at least raise it slightly from where it fell into ruin.
We need art to take care of our inner neglected and shabby. And find a little 'light, a beam to guide us out of this dark forest in which we got.
