Tomorrow, February 18, 2011, at 18, spegnamo the lights and look for a way "alternative" to illuminate the flag. We
"evivanoè" we Faroni many spots and that during the exhibitions, all year long, stay on to make it very "light" works to expose. It 's very important for a tunnel, the right lighting. But we are very sensitive to the environment and new requirements, unfortunately, from the waste or intensive use of electricity on the planet ...
So, for some years, we adhere to this initiative as much symbolic as it is effective to sensitize those who normally do not think about their waste to energy. Sure, it's a real challenge properly illuminate an art gallery with energy "alternatives" to the usual spots.
Some time ago we lowered the paintings and works toward the floor, stretching the cables that support them, and we have lit with many candles filled with candles of all kinds. And really, was not only a beautiful and successful provocation (if the light is not art, then art will go to the light, with humility and gratitude:)) but also an exciting discovery. The atmosphere was unique, charming and mysterious.
Today, February 2011, we have to turn off the lights. But also remember that this year we celebrate a very special occasion: the anniversary of 150 years of the Unification of Italy.
But how to light the tricolor with the usual alternative energy lamps and bulbs?
First our flag is special: it is a creation of the artist Elena Mirandola, who painted a huge red-white-green heart, trabordante of life! Tomorrow the light to show us all its glory. And only he, as a true hero! We use white LED with rechargeable batteries, which will frame her going and make it visible in the complete darkness of the room.
Thanks to our friends Caterpillar, we were able this year to stir the creative imagination of an artist and ricordareci that there are alternative energy and it is appropriate to reduce waste, feeling a little 'helpful and caring of our planet, with small and large gestures.
And it should not merely an isolated incident, but it becomes a real lifestyle!
